IN-CLASS ESSAY (writing "on demand"):
In 35 minutes, write a 3-paragraph essay in which you summarize Zora Neale Hurston's essay, "How It Feels to Be Colored Me." (Hint: The single body paragraph should be a summary of the essay, which could be built on the summary you wrote in your SRJ.) You'll need an opening paragraph, one body paragraph, and a concluding paragraph.
You may use the 8-sentence formula for the body paragraph.
NOTE: YOUR HANDWRITING MUST BE PERFECTLY NEAT!
The essay must be turned in at the end of the period.
